It is commonly made using polyvinyl chloride (PVC), a versatile plastic polymer that can be molded to look and feel like natural leather. However, it does not have the same imperfections and unique marks that give each piece of real leather its own character.

Is PVC Leather Real Leather?

The brief answer would be no; PVC leather isn’t genuine animal hide-leather. Genuine leather comes from animal hides, which means that it is a natural product with characteristics which cannot be duplicated by synthetic alternatives.
